Dana Klitzberg hails from Princeton, New Jersey. Educated in Italian cuisine over the course of seventeen years spent visiting Italy, as a student and traveler, she received a degree in Culinary Arts from The Institute of Culinary Education (formerly Peter Kump’s) in Manhattan.

She worked at the renowned Italian restaurant San Domenico NY, and later moved to Rome where she’s spent 7 years, working in several restaurant kitchens, serving as executive chef, and launching her culinary company through which she caters, teaches cooking classes and gives culinary tours, also writing about food.

Ms. Klitzberg holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in English Language and Literature, and writes about the kitchen on a freelance basis, having served as chief reviewer for the Time Out Eating & Drinking Guide to Rome and Restaurant Critic/chief Rome contributor for Fodor’s Italy and Fodor’s Rome guides for the past 5 years.
